🎉 Exciting news! From September 2026, TPS will be welcoming girls into Years 7 and 8, becoming a fully co-educational school for girls and boys from 4-13.
👩🎓This means girls will be able to remain at TPS through to Year 8, benefiting from our strong Senior Prep provision, specialist teaching, small class sizes, excellent pastoral care and meaningful leadership opportunities.
📚The change reflects our commitment to co-education and equality of opportunity, while offering families greater flexibility and choice as pupils move on to a wide range of senior schools at both 11+ and 13+.

Following on from our Conservation Day and as part of their animals and habitats topic in Science, Year 1 were delighted to welcome a special guest to the Pre-Prep - Torty the tortoise, recently out of hibernation. 🐢
Torty enjoyed being fed and had a bath which he loved! while the children were able to observe him, touch his shell and measure him to see if he had grown! 📏
Torty is going to come back in June when it will be hopefully be a little warmer - it was a bit chilly on Monday and the energy levels were low 😞

Today at TPS we have celebrated our first ever Conservation Day in honour of Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday.
This event was brought about by one of our pupils Annabelle, who had the dream to hold a day to mark Sir David’s work and raise awareness about what we can do to protect our environment.
Annabelle wrote a letter outlining her ideas to our MP Murina Wilson who sent a very enthusiastic reply and would have come along to school had she not been busy with the local elections!
With a whole assembly this morning led by Mr Barrett and Mrs Hepburn, to a school dressed up in an amazing variety of animal costumes, telling us all about Sir David’s remarkable life and how he has inspired generations to think about the world we live in and what we can do do to conserve and protect our planet.
Pupils were invited to think about they can personally do to protect nature as part of a photo competition and Annabelle proudly presented the badges she made to the pupils who took part.
Activities today have included planting sunflower seeds, making origami polar bears, Pre-prep have created some amazing displays and Mrs Haywood has invited pupils in her library sessions to make a pledge to the planet.
It has been a truly remarkable day to celebrate a truly remarkable man! 🌍🌊🌱🐯

Mrs Freeman has created this amazing display of Claude Monet’s Waterlilies painted by Year 3. They were inspired by the impressionist painter to create these 3D artworks layering colours, textures and gentle brush techniques to recreate the feel of light reflecting on water. #impressionism #claudemonet #waterlilies #year3
The Forest School Squirrels have been back in action on our nature trail whittling elder sticks and hollowing them out to make bracelets and necklaces. They practised their knot-making skills to create a swing adjusting it to bear their weight and also had time for exploring and cooking at the mud-kitchen #naturetrail #forestschool #outdoorlearning #exploringnature🌲☘️🍃
