Picture this: Your girl is living her best life in Ghana, the air is vibrant with loud Afrobeats at 11:02 club. A few 🍸 deep the crowd parts like the Red Sea and guess who I’m suddenly standing next to? Your Boy King Promise himself & it’s alignment our fits were matching So I did what any fearless creative would do – straight up manifested my future! Handed KP my card & with the confidence of a visionary who can see the future, I say to him “Hello I’m Mello, Makeup Artist from Sydney Australia & I’m gonna be doing the makeup on your video shoots”💄 Plot twist: I had NO IDEA when or where, just always stay ready so you don’t have to get ready, I also know that the Artist doesn’t book me it’s the MGMT, Director or Producer but I was fuelled by espresso martini 😂 Fast forward through: • 2 continents • 33 HOURS of flying ✈️ • A whole hemisphere change • And landing in SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺🦘 My phone buzzes. It’s a DM from Rex the Director from back in GH 🇬🇭 I almost spat out my ☕️ “Hey Mello are you in Sydney?” “Yeah...” “Perfect. Got a project I want you on the makeup please. It’s for King Promise.” EXCUSE ME, WHAT?! I mean, what in the manifestation nation?! 🤯 You can’t make this stuff up! From randomly meeting back home in Accra to reuniting on the literal opposite side of the planet 🌍 The same music artist I manifested working with in Africa now needs a makeup artist in Sydney?! This is what we call a MOMENT! ⚡️💄 But honey... this is just the appetizer. Let me leak a makeup hack so you can GLOW LIKE A QUEEN 🤎…. Forget the powder before foundation hack you saw on TikTok 😆 *I laugh cus peeps will try anything from TT and half the time it’s a waste of time!* For a filter-like finish, pack on loose powder over your foundation (baking style) PAT IT on, gently - don’t swipe! I know youre used to swiping left & right but not on my 🙆🏼‍♀️ Why? BC swiping it will move the product underneath & you’ll have to start all over again! Dust off & drench the skin in setting spray, spraying it 20-30cm away from face in an X shape and then a T shape then DONE! Full circle moments have been following me lately all around the world ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Last year my video was nominated for Best Music Video award for the Keep It Sexy music video with King Promise (we shot it in Australia) but I couldn’t attend the Ghana Music Awards. This year I attended graciously in the very same hat from that video all the way from Australia! Yes the same hat King Promise ended up wearing himself 🖤 Somewhere between me telling KB he will win this on @ghmusicawards nominations night months ago & awards night, I also told TGMA that @kojoblak_ would win New Artist of the Year because I genuinely believed in where he was headed creatively, I can sense worldwide talent from across the world! 🐉 Fast forward & now he’s winning 🏆 while also having a song with the VERY artist connected to one of my own full circle career moments thus far! WOWEE THIS IS EXCITING! Life has such an interesting way of stitching stories together & it’s Mello’s job to tell them. Also yeh I painted my ears silver intentionally using @mehronmakeup metallic powder, why? Because Afrobeats, to me sounds like precious metals 🎵🪩💃🇬🇭

No because WHY does this place just get me like that? 🌍✨ I told you I was back in the 233 🇬🇭 💃 What I didn’t tell you is that I came back different. An upgraded V2 of Mello has dropped & she is NOT playing! And anyone who’s as serious as me on stunning visuals get your pports ready bc we are INTERCONTINENTAL BB ✈️ Over a decade of internationally recognised expertise spanned over sets, events & production but under contract of a Global Luxury Cosmetic conglomerate but NOW FREEDOM IS MINE since rebranding as FREELANCE! 💃 And I worked bloody HARD for it too! 💄 The kind of detail that most people don’t even clock because by the time the final image lands it just looks effortless. My friend, that IS my job. And then Ghana happened creatively in 2024 & cracked something open in me that no city, no brief, treatment / moodboard & no studio ever had. A whole new creative era just sitting there waiting. LIKE WHAT THE?! Rude honestly. Could’ve told me sooner but fine, better late than never because Gods timing is the best timing 🙏 Can I get an AMEN?? This is where the magic on your favourite productions really happens 🎥 It’s more than makeup. More than wardrobe, styling or costume design… but let’s be real, those are 2 BIG 🔑 factors in whether a project flops or hits the numbers, the shares, the awards. This is the point where a vision starts to breathe. Where every detail either lifts the story & enhances the Director’s creative vision or leaves it flat & easy to scroll past. Attention spans are sitting at around 9 seconds now so that’s all the time a production really has to stop someone in their tracks. Which means the creative team? Make or break. I don’t come on set to just “do a job”. I come to build what you eventually see on screen. Another year +1 Though still allergic to rushing 🎂✨ My final birthday in Sydney spent eating my confection perfection - Turkish ice cream my simple joy. As I pack up my entire life I had to convince myself it didn’t have to be loud to be memorable this one was rooted in intention. Makeup check because we’re here for the craft: a neutral cut crease on myself it’s gotta be my new favourite. Highlighter to blind the haters ✨ Clean yet maximal & lifted yet timeless. I swear am ageing in reverse which has to mean am an Angel from Heaven 🪽 2025 Year of the Snake did what it came to do, ran a bloody number on me! But am Gods Soldier STILL STANDING TALL A lot of shedding whilst giving what felt like my whole year to Mum & Fam matters over my own self. A lot of lessons wrapped in blessings which brought me closer to God than ever. Grateful that I made it through with more clarity than I started with. 🙏🏻 New year for Mello now 🎉 Moving forward through aligned action over pressure, precision over panic & intention over noise. Whilst working hard to loosen the ropes on this perfectionism complex! Not here to live forever. Here to create something that will. 💄 ✨ Grateful. Grounded. Forward. ⚡️🐎🇬🇭

Sometimes I wonder if normal humans can survive my life To know me is to know am far from normal & here’s why… Some days I wake up & let the world wait bc this is my 1 & only life so I’ll live it on my own terms, often I don’t even touch my phone for the first half of the day. I eat my veg, sip on tea & just exist in my own rhythm, out in nature with my own thoughts percolating ideas for iconic art! That’s where the peace is. 🧘🏼‍♀️ 🌴 Then there’s days that I go full glam makeup wearing my finest fashion just because I can, music almost as loud as the speaker will go while I dance around my abode that smells like a boutique in Paris the way my fragrance is lingering all over ✨ 💄 💃🏼 Life as a chaotically creative Aquarian babe is messy, beautiful, & rewarding all at once in both dualities & I love every part of it NGL Do you do slow mornings, skip straight to the chaos or like me go where the day takes you?

The dress I’ll bury my mum in is the same one you see me wearing here. 💙 Please, let that sit with you for a moment… While my world suddenly narrowed down to a hospital corridor & machines kept Mum alive, art found me again reminding me that art can still hold me when I need it most 🫂 My day 1 friend @roxhartridge literally pulled me from the wreckage of grief into the @ballaratfoto And there was the divine synchronicity, the headline exhibition being by @campbelladdy who’s a Ghanaian 🇬🇭 / Uk 🇬🇧 Artist who captures what I’ve always believed deeply, that being seen in your full humanity, in all your difference & beauty, is THE REVOLUTION! This is why I focus on makeup for melanin. This is why diversity isn’t just important it’s survival. Its dignity uniting in love made visible. Allowing me to work towards a world where everyone feels seen too 🤎 The synchronicity feels too precise to be random ✨ This is what is known as a Rite Of Passage (look it up) 🌌 This is Addy’s 1st solo exhibition named “I Love Campbell”. It’s photography that bleeds into painting, film & sculpture that landed HERE in my tiny Australian hometown region just as I been preparing to say goodbye to my Best Mate, My Mama & fully relocate to Ghana, that’s not coincidence - grateful for her blessing to go 💄 Sometimes the universe speaks in whispers; but this time it shouted through an art gallery in a lil gold mining town! I stood there in this blue dress which has healing & heartache weft through its stitches, wearing this Great Granny 100yo old hat surrounded by bold storytelling that felt like coming home to a place I’ve learned I truly belong 🫶🏼 For the first time in months the ache in my chest made space for something else, art as a form or recognition & solidarity.
