✨ Onyx
📍 Vienna, Austria
🤍 Reasons to turn local: We didn’t know what was better, the insane view of St. Stephens Cathedral or the incredible asian fusion cuisine. Every bite was full of flavor - our favorites were the robata pork belly + lettuce-avocado-wasabi salad
🗝️ Must knows: For a table with the best views of the church, reserve months in advance - there is a $120 cancellation fee (we got lucky and due to a no show they moved us closer). + save room for dessert, @demel_wien is right below it 🤤
✨ Lluritu
📍Barcelona, Spain
🤍 Reasons to turn local: Lluritu is one of those places where you accidentally turn dinner into a two hour experience because every plate makes you want another. Everything is super fresh, simple, and meant for sharing, with seafood cooked in a way that lets the quality fully speak for itself. Between the menu covering the walls, the packed tables, and the nonstop plates flying out of the kitchen, the energy is unmatched
🗝️ Must knows: The menu changes depending on the catch of the day, so every visit feels different. They now have three locations across Barcelona, but book ahead
✨ Cafè des èpices
📍 Marrakech, Morocco
🤍 Reasons to turn local: A rooftop café overlooking the heart of the Medina with direct views of the spice square (Rahba Kedima). Known for its relaxed vibe and simple but flavorful Moroccan dishes, it’s perfect for breakfast and brunch. Fresh ingredients, warm spices, and perfectly poured mint tea make it a standout
🗝️ Must knows: Go early, around 9:00 AM is perfect. You can enjoy a quiet breakfast and then watch the square come to life as the souks open around 10. The rooftop fills up quickly so try and arrive before the rush

✨ Tsuruga
📍 Aizu, Japan
🤍 Reasons to turn local: We don’t think a lunch can get more local than this. Hosted by the Aizu city hall team, our private room dining experience made us feel beyond welcome in this historic town. The Aizu-sourced wagyu and tastings of local sake were incredibly delicious - each of us cooking our flavorful meat to our own liking
🗝️ Must knows: Aizu is ~2.5 hours by train from Tokyo and known for its deep samurai heritage, with great spots to visit including sake breweries, Tsurugajo Castle, Nanokamachi-dori shopping street, and Sazaedo Temple. Adding this town to your Japan itinerary is the perfect way to explore samurai-era Japan away from the bustle of the city

✨ La Mar Madrid by Gastón Acurio
📍Madrid, Spain
🤍 Reasons to turn local: A Peruvian meals that never disappoints, La Mar is the Madrid outpost of Gastón Acurio’s globally known concept, bringing authentic cevichería culture from Lima to Spain. The menu highlights incredibly fresh seafood, bold citrus flavors, and perfectly balanced dishes. We genuinely couldn’t agree on a favorite bite because each one was just as good as the last
🗝️ Must knows: Known worldwide for its ceviche, this spot focuses heavily on high-quality seafood flown in and prepared with traditional Peruvian techniques. The space is lively and stylish, making it ideal for a longer, relaxed dinner. Definitely come hungry and plan to order multiple dishes to experience the full range of cuisine
Our second Sant Jordi in Barcelona and somehow it feels even more magical 🌹📚✨
There’s nothing like seeing the whole city come alive - streets filled with books, roses, and people celebrating love in the simplest, most beautiful way ❤️
A little piece of magic we look forward to every year 💫
✨ Men Sakaba Hakoya
📍 Kyoto, Japan
🤍 Reasons to turn local: This walk-in only, 6 seat counter ramen spot is the definition of a hidden, authentic gem. Serving only ramen & wagyu, the beef curry ramen was insanely tender & had a broth bursting with flavor. The wagyu was the definition of perfection - it’s the closest you could ever get to a home-cooked meal away from home
🗝️ Must knows: Cash-only and run by 1 man alone, expect a (well worth it) wait outside the door. He will invite you inside once a seat opens up. Add the tempura flakes for a lovely crunch on top of your bowl 🍜

✨ Restaurant Palais Al Firdaous
📍Fes, Morocco
🤍 Reasons to turn local: Located in a Moroccan riad - the house is full of stunning architecture, intricate tilework, and a full cultural experience. This spot is all about classic Moroccan dining from rich harira soup to slow-cooked tagines and pastilla, all made with traditional spices and techniques
🗝️ Must knows: Get ready for some action - the meal is paired with incredible entertainment including live music, interactive belly dancers and a magician. It will truly give you an evening immersed in Moroccan culture
What you CAN’T miss at the Tsukiji Outer Market in Tokyo 🇯🇵
Pro tip: go early (~10am) to beat the crowds and bring cash!
++ the Imo Pippi crème brûlee sweet potato @imo_pi_pi and Cremia soft serve ice cream (look for the Cremia logo and iconic cookie cone to know it’s the real one!) 🍣🍡🍠
