12 things I’ve learned about creating and business this year 🖤
WEARING: The Verte-bra-e chest plate ⛓️💥
1. Grand things are rarely accomplished alone
2. If it doesn’t feel right, it’s either fear or truth (and those are very much the same at times)
3. Sometimes ‘quitting’ is giving yourself space to feel inspired again instead of tired
4. Things made within struggle often turn out more beautiful than things that come easily, keep going
5. See your friends some days instead of being in your studio alone, recharge with your loved ones, they will inspire you more than you know
6. Listen when people talk, feedback is a way to grow with grace
7. Eat enough while you’re creating (for my hyperfocus babes), food for thought and for the body!!!
8. Write down near to everything even if you think it’s unimportant, give it a place to live outside of you
9. Turn over those messy hoarding boxes when you’re feeling down, you will find gems inside!!
10. It’s okay to ask questions, even if it feels unprofessional, let yourself learn and ENJOY IT
11. Let yourself feel small, like a fraud, like a failure, feel unaccomplished. Keep creating, dancing and smiling anyway.
12. Consistency and skill will get you the furthest, but make sure to play with your passion and creative flare ups, life ain’t no straight line
