Matka King is a period crime drama set in 1960s Mumbai. The story follows Brij Bhatti, a struggling cotton trader who, after being humiliated by his corrupt boss, creates an illegal gambling game called Matka. What begins as a fair and transparent system for mill workers soon snowballs into a sprawling underground empire. But with power comes rivals, police pressure, a strained marriage, and the gradual erosion of Brij’s own ideals.
The show’s resounding success has led Amazon to greenlight a second season, which is currently in development.

Dulal (@naveenkasturia )and Mainak( @tomsawyerk23 ) are a pair of broke, brilliant, and unemployed screenwriters who dream of reinventing Bollywood, one blistering script at a time! While the industry’s gatekeepers refuse to even glance at their work, the two spend their days haunting bookstores and poetry slams, pitching themselves to women with the same mixed results. Their luck shifts when Gonzo Kapoor, a feline-obsessed, nepo kid and heir to a B-movie empire offers them a lifeline: write the script for his directorial debut, a film he describes as “Tarkovsky with orgies.” The money is real, the brief is deranged, and the boys say yes. Everything seems fine until Dulal meets Ruma (@aditivasudev ), a photographer whose quiet ambition holds a mirror up to his compromised one, and suddenly the sellout doesn’t feel so easy.
Sulemani Keeda, the directorial debut of Amit Masurkar (@amitvmasurkar ) released in 2014 to rave reviews from all quarters.
