I’m excited to share that, one month from today, on the evening of June 12th, my annual showing of #TulleQueer is returning to Lancaster. This marks the 5th anniversary of creating, growing, and healing through this ongoing portrait series that celebrates and honors small-town queer culture. It has truly changed my life.
As you know, I’m now almost half a year into my medical transition. I am so in love with the trans people in my life and in our community here in Pennsylvania. T4T love in all forms, trans art and history, and the collective hope for our future continue to save my life time and time again. So, to honor all that we are in a world that constantly tries to tell us who we aren’t, and to celebrate 5 years of Tulle Queer, this year’s theme is T5T 💘🏳️⚧️
You are invited to join me for one night only as I reveal my latest collection of photographs, the return of the queer art market, music by @gigimarreroofficial and drag entertainment at @westartlanc . Thank you for always inspiring me and making me feel so loved. 💌
Please save the date and help me spread the word!
I’ve been growing through a lot this spring and at times, it’s challenged my ability to romanticize and see the bigger picture, and see myself. I remembered on the train that one of my goals for this year was to visit Philadelphia more and to get my art in different cities, and so this quiet solo trip was the perfect remedy to help me remember who I am and feel aligned with where I’m going. 🌇💌
If you’re in Philly, two of my @tullequeer photographs of my sweet friends @faikhalidah and @foreverkstar will be at @lustergallerystudio for ‘Dreams, Nightmares & Everything in Between’ from May 14-July 11. Shout out to @chelseylusterart 💭

The 5th season of #TulleQueer “T5T” is coming to Lancaster, PA on June 12th. 💌
Each year, I select a list of LGBTQ+ community icons and invite them into a free photoshoot experience to honor and celebrate their light as a small-town queer icon. A lot goes into the planning, shooting and editing process, so I’m looking for creatives from the community to show up and help me make my new collection the best it can be.
Have a wardrobe piece that deserves to be on the front page? A really cool room with the best golden hour lighting? or something that just reallyyyyyy needs to be seen? Maybe you just have $$$$. Please DM @tullequeer or email me at [email protected]
+++ I’m very interested in collaborating with wardrobe stylists, HMUAs and assistants that can work with me on set for select scenes. AND I really need access to spaces & locations to photograph at. Please tag or share this with anyone you know. All experience levels are welcome! Thanks so much 🩷🩷🩷

Your friendly Interim Executive Director here. Inviting you to First Friday at The Grotto. So excited for this art show, the @amishcountryqueer screening (7pm start), the @tullequeer show, and everything else we have planned. Come out! Starting at 5pm
Happy Trans Day of Visibility 💐 Trans people are so beautiful, inspiring, and powerful. While visibility is important, we need a lot more from our communities, neighbors, family, friends, and allies to live visibly. We need safety, protection, healthcare, access, funds, opportunities, and love. It’s almost daily that we see a new headline, a new bill, a precious life lost or remembered. It’s our strength and resilience that makes me so proud to be trans. If you love a trans person, educate yourself and be ready to fight for them. In world that tries to tell trans people all the things we “aren’t,” I forever hope my work can show the world all the beautiful things we are. 💌

In honor of 5 years of #TulleQueer this June, this year’s theme is T5T. The exhibition will lens images centering trans-for-trans relationships, local icons, baby trans joy, HRT, and the small-town trans experience.
Save the date: June 12 at @westartlanc in Lancaster, PA. Queer art market. Drag performances. Dance party. & more. A huge thank you to West Art for hosting this event for the third year!

A big thank you to @ynstmagazine for inviting me to submit my ongoing series @tullequeer for Issue 10 💗
Sheer Joy is such an iconic title. Thank you for the honor of this 8 page spread. 💌
“Tulle Queer is an ongoing portrait series and annual Pride exhibition that began in 2022. Forged by South Central Pennsylvania-based photo artist Brady Pappas, the series explores queer identity, community and visibility in small-town and rural contexts with a particular focus on their peers in Pennsylvania. Combining elements of fashion and portrait photography, the project honors the lives and legacies of LGBTQ+ individuals from the region. By using tulle fabric as a recurring visual motif, these portraits offer a vibrant meditation on chosen family, representation and queer resilience. This series, along with Brady’s other bodies of work, serve as both archive and celebration, centering queer joy in places often overlooked and painting a bright vision for the region’s future.” — YNST Magazine, Issue 10
What if rural communities looked less like stereotypical strife, and a lot more like sheer joy? 🌈
These portraits tell exactly that, and are a part of ongoing series forged by south central Pennsylvania based artist Brady Pappas. The series @tullequeer explores queer identity, community and visibility in small-town and rural contexts with a particular focus on Brady’s LGBTQ+ peers in Pennsylvania.

Today I am four weeks on estrogen. One month on the 21st. Time has gone by so fast, but the softening has come in slow, beautiful moments that are once again teaching me that everything is romantic. I feel so different from the person I was a month ago.
I wanted to have this moment to look back on, one of the gifts you can give yourself as a photographer. I took my first shot of estrogen in my boyfriend’s bedroom, his sacred realm, where the walls are covered in his art. I’m so grateful for @issanecla , and for his support and his love, which I’ve been lucky to receive long before I finally chose to schedule my first appointment to begin HRT. T4T love is so scared and safe and full of adventure.
I’m also grateful for the privilege I have to be able to choose to transition in 2026. With every Sunday, I’m reminded of the many people, especially queer youth, who can’t right now. And I pray to the people who came before me, who didn’t have the access I do today.
@tullequeer means so much to me. Through this ongoing series, my own evolution has been documented throughout the last five years of doing this work here in Pennsylvania. With this special anniversary exhibition approaching in June, I’m excited to announce that my theme will be T5T 🩷🏳️⚧️
