A phoenix-inspired dress, worn on the night she won the Trailblazer Award, felt like more than fashion. It felt like prophecy tailored into a garment.

For #nevergettingmarried, this piece began with a clear direction… heritage, structure and restraint.
The moodboard drew from Ijebu regality, coral tones and richly woven textures. From there, it was translated into form… sculpted corsetry, controlled volume and precise finishing.
Every stage was intentional. Sketch. Structure. Beading. Fit.
At TUBO, this is not new. From couture to #TUBORTW, the Agbada silhouette has been continuously reimagined through our lens.
This is what it looks like when culture is not referenced, but engineered into the process.

First international vendors meeting… a private golf course, a stunning #TUBObride, and a vision only a few of us can see for now.
Meetings, sketches, chasing sunsets and decisions.

One day, I’m frustrated with artisans…
Next morning, I’m in Spain 🇪🇸 at a vendor meeting, ordering the best paella on a private golf course ⛳️
Then I’m on the next flight to England—pre-booked consultations and fittings with VIP clients.
In between all of that…
I’m trying to bring a “simple” but almost impossible garment construction vision to life.
I don’t know how I moved my body through it all,
but my step count definitely has stories to tell.
I count it all joy.
And just like that… Q1 2026 is done. 😳
