10 years of ideas, 10 years of galvanising my community, 10 years of learning.
On Friday I celebrated a milestone for a project so so dear to my heart. The road has been up and down but has tought me so many lessons and has curated the community around me I have today.
I’m excited for the next chapter of TTYA, which includes a mentorship program and our new ‘SIP & Learn’ partnership with
@chivasregaluk (more to come) to equip the next generation with tools and knowledge to succeed in the creative industries.
Thank you to everyone who has given me time and space to galvanise an idea I started all those years ago from a box room in my mums. It’s really her prayers that have gotten me this far and although the essence of TTYA as pivoted away from clothing the core values of inclusion, diversity, standing tall in who you are, believing in your ideas and building community remain the same and I’m excited for the next stage.
I’d like to thank
@goldiequaker @larizzleofficial @djpioneer @tippaonline @cold_steps @katyb @rachaelanson for the tunes and keeping the vibes on 100 all night.
@elli1276 @thestandardlondon for hosting us and the beautiful cake!
@chivasregaluk team for being amazing partners + providing amazing cocktails for the evening.
@goodcultureinc the girl boss team who bring the WhatsApp chat to real life!
It was a very emotional day for me because I had time to reflect on just how much has happened over the past 10 years and I’m so proud of my achievements. I look forward to 10 more years and ready to receive wherever the journey leads me next ❤️ Girls Club 4 EVA
