Starting simple is everything.
I didn’t walk into the studio with a full setup and a team. I started with one light. Just one. And that limitation taught me more than any gear ever could.
When you strip it back to one source you’re forced to actually understand light. Where it falls. Where it drops off. How moving it changes the whole mood of a shot. You can’t hide behind extra lights to fix what isn’t working. You gotta figure it out with what you got.
Move it high. Move it low. Move it to the side. Same subject, same gear, completely different story every time.
That’s the routine that built my studio eye. One light. One intention. One honest review after every shoot.
