A little character revamp to keep my children writing and it worked a treat 🙌 This is by far the most popular area in our classroom!
Our amazing light up phones are from @tts_resources at @ypoinfo and they are one of our most used resources in our class 😍 The oracy and vocabulary opportunities with them are endless!
And as always, using our Bic VisaColour XL felt tips from @ypoinfo which are our goto mark making resource for in provision as they have a two month no-cap life 🤯 A game changer for in an EYFS classroom!

✨Phonics… but make it a CODE BREAKER challenge✨
We used our gorgeous @tts_resources Glow Sequencing Cubes for this and they were OBSESSED! ✨
I assigned each sound a colour and created different colour codes for our little ones to crack using the glow sequencing cubes ✨
They:
✨selected a challenge card
✨matched the cubes to the correct colours
✨used the sound key to decode the word
✨blended the sounds together
✨then wrote down the word they had discovered!
We differentiated the activity using:
digraphs linked to current phonics learning, CCVC words and CVCC words✨
The glow cubes instantly made phonics feel more playful, hands-on and irresistible 🥹

✨collaborative learning
✨problem-solving
✨revisiting tricky sounds
