Last month, I co-hosted a pop-up that was near and dear to my heart. We wanted to create an ever-evolving space for Asian American expression through food and gathering.
Vietnamese culture is centered around sharing meals… whether it’s fresh fruit from the newly ripened tree in the backyard, a supermarket lobster flash deal turned seafood boil feast, or a giant pot of soup simmering on the stove the last 6 hours… we will find any excuse to eat good food and eat it together.
After moving to NY, I felt the absence of these kinds of spaces. So we brought one to life.
And these are some of the moments and people in Vietnam that fed our inspiration.
