🌏 This fall, (TT) press will publish the Japanese edition of *Pointillism*, a “boy & boy” graphic novel from Bangkok. The original English edition was available at our bookstore, and many people loved it. At the same time, we also heard from readers who said, “I want to read it, but I can’t understand English.” So we decided to create a Japanese edition, hoping more people could enjoy this story.
🌱 Dan and Kraam’s everyday life will leave you with a warm feeling — a reminder that being together can be so ordinary, and yet so special.

5/16（土）からアーティストの森本周太郎さんの展示がはじまります。森本さんのはじめての個展をplatform3で開催いただけること、とても嬉しく思います。
Starting Saturday, May 16, we will host an exhibition by artist Shutaro Morimoto. We are very pleased that his first solo exhibition will be held at platform3.

SNSなどでイメージが氾濫する現在、絵を描く意味ってなんだろうと考えてしまうことがよくあります。数年前、答えに行き詰まって、すっかり絵をやめていたこともあったほどです。再び絵を描き始めて気がついたのは、描いている時は、自分が偽物だと感じないということ。それは、絵を描くことで自分が世界とつながっている、少なくとも、つながれるという希望を感じるからなんだと思います。今回の小さな展示会では、それを特に意識して、自由に描きました。
I sometimes feel that I would be drowned in the flood of images coming from the SNS. In such a time of history, what does it mean to draw a picture? A few years ago, this question haunted me so much that I even had to quit making art entirely. When I started drawing again, I realized that only when I was drawing a picture, I felt I was leading an authentic life. Why? Because the act of drawing allowed me to connect with the world, even feeling oneness with the world, or at least grant me a hope that I would be able to belong to the world eventually. This sense of ‘promise’ is at the heart of this small exhibition.

👱森本周太郎
東京武蔵野市生まれ。高校卒業後、郵便局に勤めながら留学の資金を貯め、1990年に渡米。カリフォルニア州サンタバーバラ市立大学で美術を学ぶ。カリフォルニア大学バークレイ校で比較文学の学位を修了後、スタンフォード大学で日本文学と比較文学の博士号を修了。2003年から2007年まで、ペンシルベニア州立大学で比較文学を教える。2008年に帰国。塾講師、翻訳・通訳、リサーチアシスタントなどの仕事をしながら、絵を描き続ける。2025年、絵を本業として活動を開始する。
Born in Musashino City, Tokyo. After graduating from high school, he worked at a post office while saving money to study abroad, and moved to the United States in 1990. He studied fine arts at Santa Barbara City College, then completed a degree in Comparative Literature at University of California, Berkeley.
