Hungry on the richest street in the world smh… It’s not this photo that moves me… It’s his voice, the way he said: “They forgot us.” The way the air got heavy with truth. The way I walked away… But he never left me…. #ThroughMyEyes
Just started my 2nd semester teaching an after school art program… Wow…. There’s nothing like watching the kids unlock their creativity learning how to see the world through color, shape, and expression.. It really brings a tear in my eye…. Cuz in this program there is a focus on building the keys 2 success; reading, writing, and math… Artistic expression IS freedom it’s cool n all but you cant do shit if you don’t know how to count or read! Being at the ground level of where creativity/artistic expression intersects with the most crucial building blocks of literacy and mathematics is such an important, innocent, and amazing space mannn….
