Tuki, 2012-2025. A whole chapter of life. You never expect when something comes into your world how big of part they will take in it. Over 13 years of friendship, She has been with me through some of the most meaningful years of my life. She survived being beaten with a hammer by some sadistic kids and was saved by a kind man who paid for all her surgeries.
But Tuki never kept a grudge for humans though. She got her name from always sitting on our shoulder, where she felt the safest. She was always the first to come sit on your lap and show off how cute she was and loved kissing your nose. She lived in Tel Aviv and New York and then back again. She never minded moving, her place was on our pillow at night right on our faces. After Margo was born, she changed her favorite spot and slept beside her, making sure she was safe. She was always there with us and for us.
The day she died was the day we found out the war is ending. A day we were all waiting for. And when the rain was pouring down she came inside one last time and laid down on the bed as if to tell me, this is my time to go.
She was a truly unique cat and the little furry princess of our home. I will always miss you. Thank you Tuki for everything. Rest easy little shrimp 🍤❤️

About a year ago, I was asked to work on a special project. Little did I know it would be designing the debut album cover for a 93-year-old jazz musician.
If there was ever a lesson on never giving up, this would probably be it. Let’s drink to that in “Juanita Garden” behind the Jazz Kissa.
