SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
From the waters of Makoko to the halls of University of Lagos — this is what God can do when we trust Him completely.
Today, our hearts are filled with gratitude and joy as we celebrate two of our students who have become the first university attendees in their respective families, and scholarship recipients in their school. What once seemed impossible has become a beautiful testimony of grace, resilience, opportunity, and divine favor.
Many believed their stories would end where generations before them ended — becoming fishermen like their predecessors. But God had greater plans. Through faith, hard work, consistency, and the courage to believe beyond their environment, doors were opened that no man could shut.
Trusting God does not always mean having all the answers. Sometimes, it simply means taking one step at a time, believing that even in uncertainty, He is guiding your path. As ordinary people, we trust God by remaining hopeful during difficult seasons, staying diligent in our efforts, praying even when results are not immediate, and believing that our background does not define our future.
