Wenn wir den Brennofen ausräumen sind wir immer etwas aufgeregt. Denn zu dem Zeitpunkt sehen wir das erste Mal, wie die Farbverläufe geworden sind. Die Farbe kommt erst bei dem zweiten Brand bei über 1200 Grad zum Vorschein. Jede Vase ist ein Unikat! Mögt ihr lieber schlichte Farbverläufe oder kann es ruhig etwas wilder sein?
We are always a little excited when we clear out the kiln. Because that’s when we see for the first time how the color gradients have turned out. The color only comes out during the second firing at over 1200 degrees. Every vase is unique! Do you prefer simple color gradients or can it be a little wilder?

Ton ist wirklich ein wundervolles, natürliches Material mit tollen Eigenschaften. Wir haben zwar auch einen Drucker für PLA, den wir hin und wieder für Formstudien und Prototypen nutzen aber hinter dem Material stehen wir persönlich nicht wirklich. Das Verarbeiten von Ton zu hochwertiger Keramik ist zwar deutlich aufwendiger und schwieriger aber wir sind der Meinung es lohnt sich - die Haptik und Qualität spricht für sich.
Clay really is a wonderful, natural material with great properties. Although we also have a printer for PLA, which we use for prototypes, but we do not really like the material. Processing clay into high-quality ceramics is much more time-consuming and difficult, but we think it’s worth it - the look and feel and quality speak for themselves.
