Street portrait diaries šø | part 43 - Tim Dessaint
This one was a wild one! When i first started this series, i never expected to photograph people i always looked up to, especially not Tim!
Although not everything is included in the video, iāve got the chance to chat to him and he was soo down to earth and interested in what i was doing. We spoke about fashion (obviously) and how defying ārules in fashionā especially as men on the shorter size was something we both are passionate about.
Iāve followed Tim for such a long time now, and seeing him in person and getting the chance to chat with him felt incredibly fulfilling. I canāt lie, i was very nervous too (you can hear it in my voice) but it was exciting so exciting at the same time.
Now when it comes to the pictures, i think i could have done a better job, but itās a learning curve and i gotta learn how to use lightroom and photoshop a little better š
But anyways let me know which shot is your favouirte down below!

Postcards from london at night š
i donāt know what it is about london at night, but the city just feels different.almost like it wakes up once the sun goes down.
thereās always something happening somewhere. people rushing home, others just starting their night, conversations echoing through the streets, lights reflecting everywhere you look. it feels alive in a way thatās hard to explain unless youāve experienced it yourself.
as chaotic as london can be, thatās also what makes me love it so much.thereās honestly nowhere else quite like it.

Postcards from the National Gallery š
A beautiful museum filled with incredible paintings. My personal favourite had to be the two crabs from Van Gogh

Why iām quitting (portrait photography) - part 1
Lately, iāve been feeling the need to shift away from portraits. I loved every single one of them and met really kind and cool people along the way, but i was feeling trapped and i didnāt like that.
Thereās so many things i want to do, explore and challenge my creative side that iāve oppressed for soo long. And portraits didnāt feel like an avenue that would allow me to achieve my goals.
Iāll be sharing some more of my thoughts over the coming days!

Nostalgia
šø Shot on olympus AF10 Super
Thereās something incredibly satisfying about shooting on film. Itās capturing the emotions within still frames. Being intentional with each and every shot.
On a more serious note, lately iāve been doubting my workā¦a lot. Iām unsure whether my usual content is what i want to pursue in the future. Donāt get me wrong, itās been incredibly rewarding, challenging and fun to go up to people and take their portraits. But sometimes, i ask myself whether the content is actually mine?
And tbh, it doesnāt. Yes i take the pictures and make the videos, but itās also highly depended on othersā¦which is risky. For example last weekend, i didnāt find that courage to go up to people, and as a result, i donāt have the same content to share this week.
Saying this, i still enjoy shooting portraits, but iām still trying to figure out the path i want to walkā¦so bare with me for the time being š
Anyway, enough of me rambling. Let me know which shot was your favourite down below!
