Join Tru Rootz on Oct 4th for our second edition of our fundraising cypher event. This event is being held to bring attention and action to the injustices towards the very communities that created this culture. Black culture birthed Hip-hop, creating one of the most celebrated and innovative genres of all time.
Your donations will go towards two charities we believed will help these causes.

In this event we will be able to come together and celebrate our local community while being educated on not just our local scenes history, but the history of our culture as well. This event does not only focus on the aspect of hip hop culture but the lives that have been lost to racial injustices and how we can contribute to the fight against the continuation of this issue.
So lets come together and learn how to not only be more involved in our local dance scene, but in our local communities as well!

What's up everyone!
We at Tru Rootz would like to start off by thanking everyone who supported this vision. What started out as independent ideas from five individuals has grown into a collective effort raising $3000 to help in the constant struggle for racial equality. While we should celebrate this success our battle is far from over. Let this event serve as a reminder that when we all come together we can make a difference. We do not plan on letting this be just a one time event and encourage y'all to do the same. All information for our future events will be posted here, in the meantime we encourage y'all to stay informed and continue to join the fight, the DC protests need us now more than ever!
