Where in the world will our Trunkies go next? 📍
Earlier this month, Jayson LaManna, Justin Brinkley, John Altieri, and Kelsey VanSleen were in Richmond, VA visiting our customer Hourigan for time on site and in the office with their team.
From walking active jobsites to connecting with teams in the office, it was an insightful visit and a great opportunity to learn more about Hourigan’s approach to building and collaboration firsthand. These conversations and field visits are invaluable as we continue building technology that supports the people driving projects forward every day.
A big thank you to the Hourigan team for welcoming us and inviting us into your offices and jobsites—we truly appreciate the partnership. 👷

"Trunk Tools is construction-specific AI, built to extend the expertise of every person on a jobsite, institutionalize the knowledge that usually walks out the door, and surface how the business is performing across their entire portfolio. Integrating with Autodesk Forma puts that capability at the center of how our shared customers run their projects."
-- Dr. Sarah Buchner, CEO, Trunk Tools
Trunk Tools is now directly integrated with Autodesk Forma, bringing our AI agents into the platform where construction teams already manage their projects.

That's a wrap on ENR FutureTech! It was a great two days in San Francisco connecting with some of the sharpest minds in construction technology.
One thing that came up again and again: bulletin reviews are broken, and people know it. Showing TrunkReview in action — catching non-clouded drawing changes with $100k+ cost implications that would have otherwise gone unnoticed — landed every time. Builders who've lived through that pain don't need much convincing. (And the collective laughs when we asked how often teams actually get quality narratives from their design team? Yeah, that tracked.)
We also had a lot of conversations about why not all AI is created equal. The years Trunk Tools has spent building a construction-specific AI "brain" — trained for drawings, multi-document synthesis, and discrepancy detection — is exactly why our customers see outcomes that generic tools can't replicate.
Want to see it for yourself? Join us next Wednesday, May 13 for: From Bulletin Drop to Action: How AI Is Transforming Drawing Reviews in Construction, featuring Dan Maldonado (Trunk Tools) and Josue Paredes, Senior Project Manager at HITT Contracting.

One week out. Here's what we'll be covering on May 13.
When a bulletin drops without a written narrative, your team has to find the changes themselves — including the ones the architect didn't cloud. That's the problem HITT Contracting set out to solve.
Join Josue Paredes, Senior Project Manager at HITT Contracting, and Dan Maldonado, Subject Matter Expert at Trunk Tools, for a live webinar on what AI built for construction drawings is actually catching on real projects.

How much of your week is disappearing into bulletin reviews?
For most teams, a 20-sheet bulletin means nearly six hours of manual comparison — sheet by sheet, hoping nothing was missed, then passing it to trades to sort out themselves.
Trunk Tools' TrunkReview fixes that. Our AI agent scans new revisions the moment they're uploaded, catches every change (clouded or not), and delivers a full written summary in under five minutes.
"It's probably shaved off at least two hours of my day of going through drawings and reviewing them one by one."
— Jason Morrison, Field Engineer, Gilbane

Days-long response cycles don't just slow down reviews — they slow down entire projects.
"Within a half hour of getting that submittal — because of [Trunk Tools] — we were able to respond to the electrician. They got it back to us within the next couple of hours, and we were able to get that lightning protection turned around — with a resubmission — in about two to three hours total. A lot of times what I see without [Trunk Tools] is: I'll get a submittal and if I'm waiting five or six days to provide a response, you're getting a five-or-six-day response time from the sub."
— Bryant Caporale, Assistant Project Manager, Cleveland Construction
In Leveraging AI for Construction Submittal Reviews, Bryant and Elliot Christiansen, SVP of Operations at Cleveland Construction, join Trunk Tools' John Altieri, P.E. to discuss what AI tools like TrunkSubmittal are changing about the day-to-day reality of submittal management on active projects.

Where in the world will our Trunkies go next? 📍
This past week, John Altieri, Dan Maldonado, Sam Sheekey, and Liam McDevitt were in Kansas City visiting our customer Cleveland Construction on site.
It was a great opportunity to get out to the jobsite, see progress firsthand, and connect with the team building it. A big thank you to Elliot Christiansen for the time and walkthrough—we always value the chance to learn directly from the field.
At Trunk Tools, these visits help us stay close to the work and the people driving it forward. 👷
