So incredibly proud of my amazing friend @lydiaperakis who will soon be opening @estiahouseofmovement in Brooklyn.
Over the years, I’ve watched ESTIA be cultivated into a beautiful community of multidisciplinary artists, all coming together to celebrate creativity and movement. In honor of everyone who has been a part of the journey, I’m sharing some of my favorite moments from the last festival.

Lately I’ve been having a lot of conversations about artist spaces, or lack thereof. Somehow, this got me thinking about the wonderful, aging residents of the Chelsea Hotel – a wild assortment of artists who have been fighting against gentrification within their own building. Their homes are their studios: each door and corridor a reflection of their artistic soul. A few years back I had the honor of witnessing some of these spaces. I hope they are still there, intact, basking in the glory of a New York from a different time…🖤
