To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the recording, and to pay tribute to his friend, the
original mix of Warm Star is finally being released as a vinyl maxi single under Tillmans’s
record label, Fragile. The single includes a remix by TR/ST, the project of Canadian
musician Robert Alfons, whom Tillmans has long been an admirer of, and who has long
been an admirer of the song. As Alfons notes, “My goal was to push the original song’s
heartbreak even further.”
Juan Pablo Echeverri (1978 - 2022) was a Colombian artist and musician. Born in Bogotá,
he was best known for his long running project Miss Fotojapón, a collection of over 8,000
daily photobooth self-portraits begun in his teens.
Wolfgang Tillmans (born 1968) is a German artist and musician. He began his career by
making music in the 1980s in Remscheid, Germany, and after a 30 year hiatus returned to
making music in 2016. He has released two albums, 2021’s Moon In Earthlight, and 2024’s
Build From Here.
TR/ST is the alias of Canadian musician Robert Alfons, under which he has released five
albums since 2012, the most recent being 2024’s Performance.
