Some more Temple pics. So much of this project was salvaged. There was no budget, so materials were found, salvaged and occasionally bought. The windows were gathering dust in my dads garage, the furniture is all from salvaged timber from the demo and scraps from my own shed. Pretty much all the objects, cutlery, cups etc. are from the Lakes Entrance op shop. The solar shower is made from some old PVC pipe. There’s even a drop dunny made from a hand hewn piece of solid fallen manna gum! 📷 @nellafullard__visuals

Such gorgeous photos by @ameliastanwix Thanks again to @thedesignfiles for platforming our designs and ethos. It’s great that so many people resonate with the idea of making things from ‘waste’.

A collaborative lamp designed and made by trouthouse and Brad from @winsorkerr . A solid block of macrocarpa was charred and hand carved with 1700 etches, each depicting a bogong moth. The moths seek out light, but have been gradually going extinct due to increased light pollution. Process shots at the end.

Part 2 of the brick fire pit build. I bought some fire clay bricks and mortar that act as a heat buffer to the bricks. Total cost around $320 Bon appetite.

I've been wanting to do some more making videos, and 'tis the season for summer projects. Here is Part 1 of a fire pit I'm making. Will dive back in to finish it off tomorrow. I'll also be doing a brick clad outdoor bath if time permits!
