Through artist portraits, interviews, essays, and visual stories, this issue maps the soul of contemporary Bohemia and the people who live it today. Issue 02 is both a cultural document and an invitation to look closer at the world of creative expression, a celebration of the artists who further the bohemian spirit found at the intersection of art and humanity.

Trops Magazine, Issue 02
A textual analysis of “The Allegory of the Cave” by Matthew Rose (@ourpoliticsnet ):
“Societal institutions often reinforce oppression and allow the status quo to continue without self-examination […] society itself does not value intellectual curiosity and tends to view individuals who discover knowledge and wisdom as non-conformists who threaten the societal fabric.”

Reading, 1873, by Berthe Morisot
With spring right around the corner, Morisot’s art piece tells a tale of the beautiful season. With her sister, Edma, posing for this oil painting, it encapsulates the beautiful season with the outdoor setting. Even with the captivating green surroundings, all Edma can focus on is the book she is fascinated with.
What book had you fascinated like that last?
