spring- first year at Carrickalinga
A first look at this landscape as it settles into its surroundings. Stone steppers gently guiding the way, hardy plantings chosen to thrive in coastal conditions, and granulitic sand soft underfoot, simple and intentional materials working with the land not against it.
To mark the moment, the clients Rowan and Ralph hosted a beautiful celebration for everyone involved- the builders, designers, and our Natural Habitats Landscaping team. A shared table, a generous feast, and time to slow down and acknowledge the collaboration behind the project.
A fitting way to wrap up the project and see how the clients are enjoying their new space.

Platypus Waterhole loop walk, Flinders Chase Kangaroo Island SA
After the 2019–2020 Kangaroo Island bushfires decimated all infrastructure along the walk,
we worked closely with local rangers and Larcombe General Builders to salvage and repurpose much of the original boardwalk/ lookout and wayfinding components.
Rebuilding from the ground up, the new loop walk has been carefully re-designed and constructed to meet current Class 1 Track (equal access) standards — stronger, safer, and better than ever
for the Department of Environment and Water
