When I say she is the perfect mother, I truly mean that. She shows up every single time without hesitation. She picks the kids up for me whenever I call, babysits Taelynn, cooks for all of us, household shops like she live here, gives the kids money, and supports every single thing we have going on.
One thing about momma, she’s going on the ride with you no matter what season you’re in. Today Terriney is a lash tech, tomorrow she’s a hairstylist… and mama right there supporting it all. TJ can be a rapper today and an online gamer tomorrow, and she’s still cheering him on like it’s the biggest stage in the world.
And the way she loves and supports Theron, you would think she gave birth to him herself. That’s just who she is loving, selfless, and always making sure everybody feels cared for.
She supports me in my role, supports the hospital whenever I call, and somehow still makes herself available to everybody. She carries so much of us on her back and never asks for recognition.
Today we celebrate the real hero of this family. Thank you for being our safe place, our village, and the heart of everything we do. We love you endlessly. Happy Mother’s Day Mama! 💐
One thing I’ve taught my daughter… everybody around you is not your people.
Some people will clap for you as long as you’re useful, but the moment you choose yourself, they get real quiet. That’s not loyalty, that’s CONVENIENCE.
Learn the difference between people who are assigned to you and people who are attached to what you PROVIDE. Some may look like they’re your roots, but whole time they were just seasonal leaves. They were never deeply rooted.
Never question your worth. Never question did you make the right decision to keep someone else satisfied, while you suffer. Don’t you EVER shrink just to keep people comfortable. When you choose yourself, you don’t lose people… you EXPOSE them.
And let’s be clear…The love and support she has runs deep. A solid village will always outweigh childish behavior. What was meant to shake her couldn’t touch MY BABY with a 10 foot pole. ☺️
