Rest is a phone dump
Looking back on some photos feeling greatful to have spent so much time in the mountains this winter.
After about 10 days and a couple of opportunities, I had fully accepted that I might not catch a fish on this trip. As I was swinging through this beautiful run, I pulled my phone out to put on some music. Phone in had i felt a bump, then a hard pull. I set to the bank, and I was on. A couple quick strips with my phone still in hand and thinking to myself, dont drop your phone or lose this fish. After I had a moment to get settled, I started shouting down to Colin, who had just went down to check out the next run. He popped up a minute later, running back up to me. I fought the fish for about 10 minutes, and he helped me tail it.
Big thanks to @dyl_marek for pointing us in the right direction, I am grateful to have been able to cross paths with such a beautiful fish, and spend a couple weeks on the river with Colin, Alex & Aron.

Southern coast Shimoda
Caught these sea caves early in the morning & had the whole place to ourselves. Walking up the coast finding hidden beaches & caves on our way home.
