Introducing a new series I had fun creating in the studio with @sonymalaysia ’s latest 100mm lens. I work with food a lot, and if there’s one lens my team always reaches for, it’s this one. True 1:1 macro (and then some) and incredible detail capture.

Just like that final drop, the lens is the cherry on top. 🍒 Had a hard time deciding whether to share these all at once, but I felt each photo deserves its own spotlight. More to come! 📸 FE 100mm F2.8 Macro GM OSS

Continuing the series with @sonymalaysia ’s latest 100mm. This lens is our go-to for food because of how well it captures detail and depth, and getting close without distortion for that ultimate ‘#foodporn look. Just like that final drop, the lens makes the shot! 🥞 📸 FE 100mm F2.8 Macro GM OSS

So close you can almost hear the fizz. 🫧 When it comes to photographing food & beverage, i’m always trying to make something feel like it deserves a second look. Just seeing how far i can push it… and i’ll almost always go in for a close-up. It’s the little details that keep me going and why the process matters just as much. Just like that final scoop, the lens completes the shot. Thank you @sonymalaysia for letting me explore the latest 100mm lens! 📸 FE 100mm F2.8 Macro GM OSS @sonymalaysia @alphauniversemy

Dinner diaries: Au Jardin (Penang) x Molina (Kuala Lumpur) Two cities, two perspectives, one very good table. @molina_kl continues to prove why it’s one of the most exciting modern European restaurants in Malaysia right now. Beetroot, jalapeño, horseradish.. Refined, vegetable-forward cooking with French technique, Nordic restraint, and just enough Asian nuance woven through the menu without feeling forced. And @restaurantaujardin … still operating at an incredibly high level. Thoughtful, deeply produce-driven cooking that feels elegant without losing its Malaysian soul. Honestly, that watercress & cuttlefish consommé alone was all I could think about long after the meal was done. A four-hands dinner, but I liked that both chefs chose to present their own dishes instead of merging styles into a single collaborative menu. It felt like a smarter way to properly showcase the identity and strengths of each restaurant, especially for diners experiencing them for the first time. Very, very good cooking from both sides. Xx

Bar Trigona Menu Design 📖 Located within @fskualalumpur , @bartrigona has become one of Kuala Lumpur’s most celebrated cocktail bars, known for its inventive drinks programme and its distinctive use of Malaysian honey and local ingredients. We were commissioned to design the bar’s new cocktail menu, translating its philosophy into a sensorial editorial object. The visual language draws from the bar’s interior, where Art Deco influences meet regional geometry. Motifs inspired by honeycombs, ketupat weaves and colonial linework are reinterpreted into the menu’s visual identity. At the centre sits the hourglass, a symbol of time. Instead of sand, golden honey flows within — representing the title of the menu, the Nectar of Time. Across the pages, the honey gradually descends from the top chamber to the bottom, illustrating the passage from early evening to late night. The transition becomes visible midway through the menu, marking the rhythm of the bar as the night unfolds. Trigona honey remains both ingredient and metaphor, each drop symbolising a moment suspended between day and night. Materiality plays an equally important role. The cover features a deep deboss that echoes the honeycomb motif, paired with gold foil accents that catch the light like liquid nectar. Together, these finishes bring a tactile sense of luxury to this very special design piece.
