Very excited to invite ya’ll to come kick it @thevinylreset with me Sunday May 17th from 2-6p for the first monthly Beat Challenge hosted by yours truly!
@thevinylreset will select a random record from their store.
We’ll have a listening session, followed by a couple hours to sample the record and cook up some tasty beats.
Once that’s done, we’ll listen through everything we made, and everyone who enters a beat will vote on whose they like the most.
Winner takes home the record along with some special prizes!
Bring your own sampler and come get creative! The entire session will be streaming live, build up your following! Some random production gear will be provided, but bring whatever you want/need. There’s plenty of space, food nearby, and a great sound system. All genres welcome so don’t be shy.

Sunday from 2-6 is the first Sample Challenge.
@reset_erik will pick a record from deep within the shop, there will be a listening session followed by a couple hours to cook up some tasty beats. The last hour we’ll go around and show off what we made. Everyone who makes a beat to show will vote on whose they like the most. Winner takes the record home!
Bring your own sampler or whatever you need to make a beat! Some basic cables, turntables and keyboards will be available at the shop to use, but bring anything weird you may need to make your stuff rock.
The whole session will be live-streaming, so show up on the early side to make sure you catch the listening session and get on the stream!
All genres welcome! I wanna see what ya’ll got cookin. See you there!

Join us at the Junkyard Social Club on Friday, April 10th for a very special happy hour! Two Hands Paperie will welcome you to a pop-up collage session while our guest DJ Triptonite cuts it up on the turntables alongside your host, the Superstar DJ Duck La Rock.
DJing lives within an artistic tradition that – like collage in the visual arts – depends on the combination and juxtaposition of materials that are, “ready at hand.” Scissors, paper, and glue are replaced by turntables, records, and a mixer, but the goal is the same: to make something new out of something old. To use old ideas and forms to create new ones.
And, like collage, DJing is something that anyone can learn! That’s why each month we set up the DJ booth so you can see what we’re doing, ask questions, and see what DJing is all about. Come say hi!
Some collage materials will be provided (magazines, paper scraps, and ephemera) but BYO scissors, glue stick, and special collage materials from your secret stash. The first 20 people receive a special collage scrap pack courtesy of Two Hands Paperie!
