What a beautiful weekend…💙 Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 6th annual Kölschfest at Triple Crossing - Fulton. From every “Zicke Zacke, Zicke Zacke” chant, to the dancing, Underbergs, perfect weather, and incredible food, the whole weekend was packed with fun. It means the world that so many of you return year after year to celebrate the full Kölsch-style experience with us. Dedicating the day to pouring from traditional gravity casks while serving a beer we truly love, in its traditional glass and style of service, makes it incredibly meaningful to share and celebrate these traditions with all of you. 🍻 If you didn’t get your fill of Kölsch at the fest, we have 16oz 4-packs ready to take home. 🍻 Until next year… PROST! ✌️

A word from our Production Manager, Savannah. 🍻 Our annual field trip usually takes us out to visit our favorite craft maltster, @epiphanycraftmalt , and the fields where some of their grain is grown. This year, the fields we had hoped to visit were unfortunately a little too far of a hike, so we improvised and spent the day a little closer to home, in and around Charlottesville. We started the day at @northamericansake , where the team got to learn from another alcohol producer who clearly cares deeply about process, ingredients, and intention. Sake and beer are obviously very different beverages, but there’s a lot of commonalities between them, and we loved getting to nerd out together with our new friend, Andrew. His passion shows up in what he makes, and we were so grateful for the time he spent with us. From there, we made our way out to @commonwealthcrush to meet up with our old friends at @lightwellsurvey . After a tour of their facility, we ended up in the tasting room, where Ben poured what felt like 40 glasses of wine for us while we compared industries and the plights we face. We had such a good time and are so grateful to Ben for taking time out of his day to sit with us, teach us, and hang out. Finally, we ended the day with our one true love, beer, at a brewery we have a whole lot of respect for, @selvedgebrewing . Josh and Zach grabbed us beers and showed us around their space, and it was a perfect way to round out the trip. The beer was excellent, and the company was even better. We really appreciated the chance to be around thoughtful, talented brewers, and to drink some intentionally crafted European-style beers. Okay, now really speaking as Savannah: I’m so damn proud to be the manager of this team. Not every day in the back is as easy as this one was, but every day I get to work alongside some of the most passionate, curious, and hard-working people I’ve ever met. They each bring so much knowledge, care, humor, and heart to what we do, and their curiosity never fades. I’m just so grateful for them and for being able to share this day with them. Thank you to everyone who made this day so special <3 Cheers! 🍻

FREE stickers for the first 40 people in line at Kölschfest 🍻 Kölschfest is one of our favorite events in our festival series, highlighting and paying tribute not only to the beer in the glass, but also to the way it’s served: by way of Kölsch tradition. Traditionally, Kölsch is served in petite 200ml stanges and delivered in a fast paced rhythm, with fresh pours arriving as soon a beer is finished. It all goes down in TWO days! Join us this Saturday for our 6th Annual Kölschfest from 12-5pm with German food specials, a special Kölsch release, live music and a whole lot of fun. Prost! 🍻 📸: Triple Crossing - Fulton

Kölsch, the sound of our favorite broken record… Every year, Kölschfest is an opportunity for us to settle into a traditional Cologne-style way of serving Kölsch — small, fresh pours delivered continuously to your table until you signal you’re done. It’s as easy as drink… kölsch… repeat: 1️⃣ Grab Your Coaster Coasters are available through Thursday, May 7 at triplecrossing.com/kolschfest. Coasters are $10 each. $12 at the door. You may purchase multiple coasters. 2️⃣ Kölsch With Us Once you receive your coaster, our köbes, or servers, will be passing out Kölsch glasses, or Stanges from our carrying trays known as a Kranz. Köbes will hole-punch one corner per Kölsch served. 3️⃣ Signal With Your Coaster Once finished, place your coaster on top of your stange to indicate you are done. If you’d like more, just request another coaster. That’s where the repeat comes in. Join us: Saturday, May 9 | 12–5 PM | Fulton Live Music from The Sauerkrauts Prost! 📸: Triple Crossing – Fulton

Scattered Stars ✨ A rarity for us on at least a couple fronts - somehow, we managed to pull off both a new (for us) style, and on the seasonally appropriate date. We’re not sure it necessarily matters, but we’re into it regardless. A Mexican Lager is and was a style we kept in the background and often decided against even considering it, given how many other pale colder fermented beers we offer. However, given our ongoing experimentation with our 7bbl system, and the strict and absolute rule that anything over a whisper of acetaldehyde wouldn’t be tolerated, we finally set out to brew one. Consisting of a grist of Epiphany Modern Pils, Vienna, and a hefty dose of flaked maze, this beer was an absolute nightmare to lauter. Given the aforementioned fermentation character guidelines, we pitched this one with a classic Mexican Lager strain utilizing our typical elevated lager rate. A simple beer for sure, but just beneath that classic color and bone white foam pour shows itself as complex or easy drinking as you want it to be. We notice impressions of soft red apple, honeysuckle, almond, lemon, hay bales, and bread dough. Expect a soft mouthfeel with minimal bitterness. Very fragrant and honestly just different than our other lager offerings in a way we’re quite pleased with. 5% ABV because we don’t make the rules. Draft pours only across all three locations.
