They are asking musicians to learn the tunes & songs they share, to record a video and to send it back to them.

A resistant tune from the Isle of Man to start off the tunes played on this beautifully shared fiddle that is out on the flotilla.
@islacallistermusic plays “Baase Illiam Dhone” - a traditional Manx Gaelic ballad from the Isle of Man.
⚠️‼️ As we share this, part of our flotilla has been intercepted by the IDF. Some of our comrades are detained. Others are adrift on boats that were deliberately wrecked and abandoned. The journey continues — on the water and on land. ‼️⚠️
“Baase Illiam Dhone” — “The Death of Brown William” — is a traditional Manx Gaelic ballad inspired by the story of William Christian, a Manx politician who in 1651 led a rebellion to defend his people’s ancient rights and freedoms. He was executed for it in 1663. The ballad carried his memory for centuries, sung in Manx Gaelic, kept alive through the oral tradition of singing and playing.
Gaelic traditions have long carried the grief of occupied peoples — their songs kept alive through the musical instruments and voices of those who refused to forget. That thread runs through this journey.
@thousandartiststogaza will be sharing resistant tunes from the water, for musicians on land to learn and carry forward.
