Back again at The Fabulous Fox in Saint Louis tonight to see Peter Pan take flight. This is one of the great venues in the USA and it’s a walk down memory lane to see my career on the walls of the backstage labyrinth. So damn thankful. Dream big. Be kind. Help others.
14 years ago, this little girl came into my life and changed it forever. Every day I’m humbled and thankful for the many lessons she has taught me across the years. She made me better, toughened me up, gave me a husband and an extended family around the world. And after all these years and for many more to come - she’s still worth it.
I will never forget the day two years ago when I met Nolan Almeida for the first time. Lonny Price, Larissa FastHorse, Lorin Latarro, Andy Einhorn and I had been working for over a year developing the new production of Peter Pan and we had yet to find our Peter. Nolan walked into the audition room in LA and within about 60 seconds, we all knew. He was the one. He was only 16 years old and it was one of the best auditions that I have ever witnessed. In fact, it was so good that he was offered the job in the room. We all had a good cry after an exhaustive search and knew just how lucky we were that he walked into our lives. He defined our production and took hundreds of thousands of people on an incredible journey to Neverland. Tonight he takes his final flight as Peter and then on to his next big adventure. Nolan, we all created something very special together and the best is yet to come. Fly high.
