As a child growing up, I always wanted to be He-Man. I would run through the house yelling “I HAVE THE POWER!!!!”. I even wore my hair like him at one point. After that phase passed it was the Ninja Turtles. It was martial arts and “cowabunga” all day, everyday. After turtle time passed, my next goal was to become the next Jean-Claude Van Damme. To be muscular, know karate and be a movie star. Then came the Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America and the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. BUT, before and above all, there was ONE. Good looking, hard working and stronger than anyone I ever knew, with a sense of humor to match. A real life superhero…MY DAD!!!

Delusional part 2 the stage play dropping this Fall
SN: The audio at the beginning is from a video Skye sent me at the age of 5 the first time I left to pursue a career in acting.
As I prepared to leave to film last month, I was excited and ready as I always am. Another chance to do what I love! But there was one issue- the schedule. Our last day of filming was set for May 1st which is a special day for me because it is my youngest son’s birthday. But the this birthday was particularly special. Not only was it his birthday, but it was his 18th birthday AND his SENIOR PROM!!! I was devastated! As an actor, sometimes our job requires us to miss some important times in our family life. Sometimes, it’s once in a lifetime moments that we will never have the chance to experience again. That is sometimes that sacrifice that is required in pursuit of or when living out your dreams. It’s the part of the journey that we rarely, if ever consider until it becomes a reality and we have to face those circumstances. But just as I had finally come to terms with the fact that I would have to miss my son’s special day, Gods Will was done. Just like that, I wrapped filming a day early. Today, I was able to get up and hit the road in time to not only surprise him for his birthday, but also help him get ready and see him off to his senior prom! THANK YOU GOD.🙏🏽
With that being said, I wish the happiest of birthdays to my baby boy. There’s nothing on earth I wouldn’t do for you. You have accomplished so many amazing things in your life, but what I most proud of is the fact that you are genuinely a good human being. God has amazing things in store for you.
