Did a floor mural for @texasasianmuseum_cctx ! It took @koifishembers and I 23 hours to get it done, and it was worth all the effort! The mural is a design I posted a few days ago as a teaser for what was to come!

Finally got around to glazing that komainu I made! This LG-46 glaze gives a very nice jade-like appearance to pieces like this. I got a little impatient and cracked the kiln too soon so theres some cracking in the glaze 😅 I think he turned out nice regardless!

This is a call for artists to participate in the 2nd annual hand carved woodblock steamroller printmaking event in Corpus Christi Tx. The event will be held @texasasianmuseum_cctx and your prints will be displayed at the museum for the community to see. Just like last time the artist will be able to put their piece up for sale if desired.
There will be an entry fee of $30 per block for artists that want to participate, so feel free to find a group if you prefer. The entry fee will be covering the costs of any base materials needed, not including carving tools or the blocks.
The deadline for signup is August 20th for artists and 30th for sponsors.

A big komainu has emerged from the kiln!
He is made out of Dillow White clay and glazed with Shino glazes. Fired to ^5.
I have a few more komainu in the works. One of them being particularly peculiar... He will be revealed soon!
