New BTS post - "Behind the Scenes: Getting Deep, Editing ORACLE."
Co-director & editor @mischahedges reflects on the editing process, after several months of work with writer / co-director @brendanhedges to assemble a rough cut of the upcoming documentary, ORACLE: the Life & Music of Michael Hedges.
" Editing a documentary is a fully immersive process – it becomes a part of your everyday.
With hundreds of hours of footage to review, tens of thousands of decisions to be made, and the fact that it often takes a week or two to cut a single scene together, means I’m looking at the same emotional moments for dozens of hours in a row." - Mischa Hedges

Thanks to the great team at @sebastopoldocs for putting on another fantastic film festival. We laughed, we thought deeply, we cried and we were inspired by the program. It’s an honor to partner with y’all on the DocNight series - and we can’t wait to finish our next film and have it considered for the fest. Until next year!
We’re moving!
After 7 wonderful years in Sebastopol, we’re moving our production and editing studio just down highway 12 to Santa Rosa, CA. The co-working office we started and operated in Sebastopol in 2016 (TrimTab Workspace) will continue operating as “Sebastopol Co-Work” and be managed by the building owners. Thanks Tanya and Ru for the great space, to all our collaborators and workspace members for all the memories, events and fun times here. We made hundreds of films and designed dozens of campaigns for our clients here, survived COVID together and leveled up in our creative work and careers here. SEB will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Thanks to our lovely neighbors The Apple Cobbler, @macdaddy_repairs@retrograderoasters@community_market@barriofrescacocina@rialtocinemas@sebastopoldocs@sebastopolarts@ramengaijin@handline.sebastopol@papasandpollo@bubblesbobateashop@downtownsebastopol@fernbar.sebastopol@thenectary and all the other people and businesses who made working here so special and delicious. Let’s stay friends, Sebastopol!
Stay tuned for an invite to the opening party for our new film studio in Santa Rosa!

This Spring is a busy one for @trimtabmedia - with virtual events going hybrid, livestreams are back-to-back, production is getting back into full swing, and some new documentaries are in the works.
