Just returned home from the greatest weekend roadtrip of my life! After months of planning, I got the chance to propose to the love of my life, to the Hozier song Lauren hinted at being our future wedding song. Ponchos, pouring rain, lightning, and a moment I’ll never forget. Around the time of encores, we made our way up the hillside behind the stage to a beautiful viewpoint of the st.Lawrence river and just in the distance. I couldn’t keep the giant box in my pocket a secret anymore 😂 The following night was the greatest concert experience we could have ever asked for to celebrate! Feeling like kids with a total “Wayne’s world” moment holding backstage passes. Mindblowing crowd size and involvement! They were nuts!! Watching @mastodonrocks performing side stage with the homie @stevebrogden was my diamond! (Ring joke) thanks brother 🙏👊 Grateful to Warren, Royce, and the entire @slayerbandofficial crew for the opportunity, hospitality, and life changing night! Lauren and I are beyond grateful 🙏 Forever in your debt for this one @garyholt_official ! Thank you for all that you’ve done for me, Lauren, and the Clarke Custom shop! I told Gary my plan back in March when I had no money, no sales, no hope. Fast forward to July and I’ve sold every guitar made this year, and was able to make this dream come true! Meet the Clarke customs Double Treble. As a huge Alex lifeson @rush @thereallerxst fan I’ve always wanted an alpine white double neck. I always found these guitars so badass and to design and create my own with the help of @solomusicgear is the best feeling in the world! Combining the characteristics of all my favourite guitar types into one with a 12 string les Paul and a 6 string strat style Jackson with fender touches 👌this was a challenge to say the least with no wiring diagrams similar to work off, but I’m proud to pull it off with some trail and error. Ever since I was a child I’ve been obsessed with the les Paul. The craftsmanship, the history, the music generated from my rock and roll hero’s out of its iconic shape. As a carpenter it’s been a life long goal to own a high end Paul let alone a rare model in a my favourite colour. This ones for all the pain and hardship from achieving my dream of being a professional bike rider.
