I’ve been into topiary trees lately—their shapes are kind of beautiful, kind of awkward, a little ridiculous. Spending more time in the Outer Sunset got me interested, though they’re everywhere once you start looking. First go at painting one, more to come 🌳

Patrick Nelson blends bold graphics, layered texture, and a distinct sense of balance — a mix of past and present pieces that move between structure and spontaneity.
With roots in branding and design, he builds timeless compositions from hand-stained newspaper and acrylic paint, where vintage print meets modern design.
His work feels right at home in the LA shop — dynamic, tactile, and quietly electric.
