What an honor to not only work on the casting side of the feature film Flags of Our Fathers, but to be cast in the role of the luncheon singers/ a direct reference to The Andrews Sisters.
There was a major casting call to find the Andrews Sister Act for the film and they looked at a lot of singers for the part. I also got the casting call and submitted many of my close friends to audition. I popped in my photo just in case and the casting director told me that Clint liked my look. My friends and I jotted down to the audition at Warner Bros and the rest is history.
Clint Eastwood is the most elegant, classy, and no nonsense film director I have ever worked with. He knew exactly what he wanted and in the most quiet and quick way, directed us.
He was so kind and down to earth and even sat with us at our table during dinner.
He wrote a second scene for us to perform and there was talk on set that he was going to fly us girls to Chicago to shoot a 3rd scene, which unfortunately never happened but what an honor to work with such a legend.
