I wrote this series 5 years before shooting it. When I finally found the courage to bring it to life, I was intentional about who I brought alongside me. The entire cast and crew showed up, gave their all, and truly shaped WERK into something way more magnificent than what I initially imagined.
More than anything, I feel encouraged. Encouraged to keep creating, to keep betting on myself, and to keep telling the stories that are on my heart. This is only the beginning.
The Military and Veteran Entertainment Awards is creating space for Veterans in this industry in a way that’s really special, and I’m honored to be in the room.

One of the best choices I made in 2025 was surrounding myself with people who know more than me in their respective fields. I’m not sure if my DP @bryanricke really grasps that he is a cemented piece of my Tribe and is stuck with me lol ! A few others as well 👀
