We hope you’ve all had an awesome summer, and if not, that you’ve been blessed with some learnings that will help navigate seasons to come. It’s hard to be believe that summer’s out for another year! ☀️ We’ve been busy our end, and are very happy to have finally found some time to go through the footage from the last @tribe_presents gig, and reminisce on what a TIME it was!! We adored the space we all created; it was safe, respectful, fun, expressive, dynamic. And this is down to the energy that each individual brings, so we are deeply grateful for each and every one of you legends who came and co-curated the vibe. We really couldn’t have asked for much more. 🥹 We’re working on lots of new TRIBEy stuff behind the scenes, and we will have exciting TRIBE news coming soooooon. Stay tuned. And that’s a wrap! Another TRIBE event that completely blew us away. 🥹 Before we go any further, as we bask here in the sweet afterglow, we just wanted to give a massive shoutout to our incredible crew. This was a HUGE group effort from everyone involved, and we want to honour the time and energy that everyone contributed with so much love. (More awesome contributors not pictured - you know who you are.) 🙏🏼 And as always, huge gratitude to the whole crew at @rhymexreasonbrewery who are such an awesome bunch to work with, and we’re so grateful for the space to bring this event to life. We’re going to take a few days to ourselves to regroup, and then we’ll share more footage. Big love to @raytiddy for being such an awesome photographer/videographer for the event. We have some important words to speak, and we know that most of you know all this anyway, but in the name of maintaining the safe & respectful dance floor that TRIBE is known for, we will speak them anyway and trust they will reach the right ears. Our ongoing wish is for TRIBE dance floors to be a space where people can relax, connect, dance, and express themselves freely, and part of creating that vibe is taking care of one another. These are our non-negotiables… 👍🏼 Consent is always key. Whether it’s dancing close, touching, flirting, or conversation - consent should always be clear, enthusiastic, and ongoing. A smile is not consent, silence is not consent, and consent can be withdrawn at any time. 🙅🏾 Any discrimination will not be tolerated. TRIBE is a space for diversity, self-expression, and shared humanity - if your actions compromise that, you will be asked to leave. 🛌 And finally, let’s look after each other beyond the dance floor too. Please be mindful of your limits, check in on your friends, and make sure everyone gets home safely. Organise sober drivers, rides, or plans before the night unfolds. It’s time for our final artist introduction. Although he’s a familiar face to TRIBE, we’d love to introduce… RUA 🔥🔥🔥 An Irish-born, Aotearoa-based DJ known for weaving multifaceted grooves and deep basslines in soundscapes that move both body and soul. Rooted in House and Techno but never bound by genre, RUA’s sound is eclectic yet distinctive. Both uplifting and emotive, RUA’s sets take the dancefloor on a journey. As energy fluctuates and moods shift, moments of connection are created that keep people moving from start to finish. 💫 While living in Berlin, RUA was deeply inspired by the city’s underground dance culture, its sense of community, freedom, and devotion to sound. That experience laid the foundation for TRIBE, a platform born from a desire to bring that same spirit locally. Through TRIBE, RUA curates events that celebrate underground dance music and culture, creating space for connection, self-expression, and unforgettable dancefloor moments. We’re in for a treat, friends!! 🫶🏼

One week to go!! 🙏🏼 We’re putting in a lot of mahi to make this the biggest TRIBE event yet and we are frothing with excitement!! What a joy to welcome @kon.faber to Wānaka for their first time and gig here. Those who will be popping their Kon Faber cherry are in for a treat. 🍒🔥 A little more about them for those who don’t know them yet.. Kon Faber are an epic duo hailing from Berlin, who bring their deep embodied understanding of music, their infectious energy, and their technical expertise to dance floors around the world, creating unique live soundscapes and guaranteed grooving. Once you’ve experienced it, you’ll get it. 😉 We have just a handful of online tickets left so if you do want to come this is a friendly reminder to jump on that train sooner rather than later. 🫶🏼

Just under two weeks to go… we are thrilled to introduce our headliners, Kon Faber @kon.faber 🔥 Kon Faber are audiophile masters of their craft. The Berlin-based electronic live duo processes images, scenes and emotions from their immediate surroundings and combines those subjective impressions into energetic original productions that have been released on labels such as Kotori, Kamai, Rummel, Saisons and Rebellion der Träumer and reached No. 1 on the Beatport genre charts. As a live act, the well-attuned team creates acoustic mosaics of cross-genre sound elements assembled with meticulous attention to detail. Synthesizers, percussions & vocals are fused in real time on stage to create a whole-body experience. Their auditory color palette ranges from rhythmic, bouncy organic house with lush basslines to energetic Indie Dance heaters. Their early childhood contact with music as a means of self-expression continues to shape the two longtime friends to this day and is reflected in their influences of HipHop and Jazz. Their detachment from genre boundaries is also evident in the collaborative spirit of Kon Faber’s sound universe, which has produced synergy effects with renowned Jazz musicians and international vocalists. The two have played tours in Mexico, Australia and New Zealand and have performed at international festivals and clubs in Amsterdam, Tunis, London, Milan and Berlin - always with an unmistakable signature of immersive dance experiences. Some of you have asked if there is a dress theme for this next gig, as there has been for our previous events (and historically you’ve all nailed the brief x10000000 🤩)… and yes, yes there is. It’s summer, energy will be high, and the dress theme will reflect this. This time round, we’re going… Vibrant & colourful. 🌈👗🦄✨🌻🍒🎨🪭 Bring your colour, your sparkle, your summer magic. OR ignore the theme entirely and wear whatever feels authentic to you. This is an invitation, not a strict dress code. We can’t wait to see the dance floor light up with everyone’s unique expression. 🫶🏼

Buckle up kids, it’s time to introduce the second artist for our next event… Danny Del Amor 😎 The ethos of every Danny Del Amor set is connection. To create a safe space where we can let go, unravel, wrap ourselves inside the music & connect with the dance floor. Sonic expeditions will take us through hypnotic soundscapes, and cascade us through the spectrum of techno & progressive house. Emotion, Energy & Rhythm are the tools we choose to take with us; Ethnic grooves, emotive voices & rolling basslines will be the guides that will take us to where we need to be.  With a DJ career spanning over a decade, Danny Del Amor has played at many of our beloved festivals. He has been welcomed by @rhythmandalps , Relish Festival, and many underground raves & parties. Meticulously crafting the arc of each set for that night’s dance floor, taking the people on an uncharted journey through the depths of our own psyche, unafraid to pivot at any moment’s notice, and be guided by the people, for the people.
