🇭🇰 Hyrox HK 26
Probably the biggest race we've ever experienced — 20,000 participants, not including spectators. Every wave felt hugee and it was honestly incredible seeing how much this sport has scaled since our doubles last year. Yet somehow, the entire event was still so well organised — spacious, no queue, and SO CLEAN.
This was both our second Women's Open Doubles and we had so much fun doing it. 15min PB for
@el_sangaran and 13min PB for me! Consistent repetitive work across different sport were all reflected in this race and we're really proud of that. Sub 75 is definitely in the bag, perhaps Pro? 👀
What felt different this time was the Roxzone — it was LONG. When calculated, it added up to almost 2km of Roxzone, meaning only 6.7km was on the actual clear race laps. Trying to hold race pace while weaving through traffic and obstacles in the narrower Roxzones was hella tricky, but we just kept moving. Had our hiccups at a few stations but partnership was on point — stepping in for each other whenever needed, full trust, no questions asked.
One thing I'm damn proud of was our negative run splits. We actually got increasingly faster in the second half haha, just as planned. All the pacing work at D13 paid off!
This race felt different mentally. Less anxiety, more calmness. Think it's from trusting the work we've put in together over time. Elsa was honestly the best partner — competitive enough to push limits and challenge each other, but always in a balanced manner. This kinda partnership is rare, and I'm grateful to be able to do this alongside my training buddy.
Big thank you to
@jamiebarnett87 , Matt and everyone at
@district13gym for constantly guiding us to become better athletes and people. Forever grateful for this community. And special thanks to
@cheem for waking up early on a Sunday to cheer us on and take cool photos. We saw you, and heard you. 🥹 Shoutout also to everyone at
@tribe.trn for the support.
And of course, big love to
@lushprotein for fuelling and supporting my training journey from day one. ❤️
Next stop: our first ever Ironman 5150 Olympic Distance triathlon in July. More swim for the next 2 months! 🐠🤙🏽😎
