🎬 Ep. 10: The Final Touch – Color & Sound!
And just like that, we’ve reached the final step of our journey—color and sound mixing. This is where everything comes to life.
We teamed up with Pinto Pictures, a colorist we’ve trusted for almost a decade, to fine-tune every frame. From balancing tones to creating a cinematic look, color grading is what transforms raw footage into a cohesive visual experience. Meanwhile, sound mixing ensures every word, ambient detail, and score hits just right—because storytelling isn’t just seen, it’s felt.
A huge thank you to everyone who followed along on this behind-the-scenes ride. It’s been an incredible process, and we’re so excited to see this film hit the screen.

🎬 Ep. 9: The Edit – 30TB, 300 Hours, 30 Days!
After weeks of filming, it all comes down to this—editing. We teamed up with @stacksposthouse to tackle 30 terabytes of footage, over 300 hours of content, all within 30 days to get it ready for the big screen. No pressure, right?
From organizing massive amounts of footage to refining every frame, editing is where the documentary truly takes shape. It’s long hours, tough decisions, and a whole lot of coffee—but when it all clicks, it’s magic.
What’s the hardest part of editing for you—sorting footage, cutting it down, or making those final tweaks? Let’s talk! ⬇️

🎬 Ep. 8: Last Day in Seattle – Solving Storytelling Challenges!
That’s a wrap on our final day filming in Seattle! Working with Morgan Housel, we tackled one of the biggest challenges in documentary filmmaking—non-linear storytelling. When you’re filming out of order, every shot needs to fit seamlessly into the bigger picture. From adjusting locations to matching tones, every decision impacts the final story.
Now, we’re heading into post-production, where editing and color will bring everything together. Stay tuned—next episode, we’re diving into the final stages of the process!

🎬 Ep. 7: Filming with Morgan Housel in the Wild!
This episode takes us deep into the stunning landscapes near Snoqualmie Pass and Mt. Rainier, where we’re capturing our story with none other than New York Times bestselling author @morganhousel as our guide.
Filming on location always brings its own set of challenges—shifting light, unpredictable weather, and the ever-changing natural backdrop. But it also gives us something studio shoots never can—raw, immersive visuals that pull the audience into the story.
Morgan’s insights paired with this breathtaking setting? Let’s just say, we can’t wait to share what we captured!

🎬 Ep. 6: Bringing the Story to Life with Graphics!
A documentary isn’t just about the footage—it’s about how you present the story. That’s where @fruitful_design came in! We partnered with their team to create all the graphic assets for this project—title graphics, lower thirds, and animated elements that seamlessly tie everything together.
From the first concept to final execution, we focused on a design that enhances the story without distracting from it. The right graphics don’t just look good—they help guide the audience, reinforce key themes, and add that extra layer of polish.

🎬 Ep. 5: Final Day in Denver – Adapting on the Fly!
That’s a wrap on our last day in Denver! In just one day, we powered through three interviews and a full program walkthrough—all while making adjustments on the fly. One of the biggest takeaways? This documentary is teaching us as much as we’re capturing.
Balancing one budget over 10 days meant adapting to different needs—some days called for a lean crew, while others needed all hands on deck. Finding that balance was key to making every dollar count while keeping production quality high.
So, filmmakers—how do you decide where to scale up or down on a shoot? Let’s hear your thoughts! ⬇️

🎬 Ep. 4: Maximizing One Location – 4 Experts, 2 Days!
Back in Denver with our local crew, and this time, strategy was everything. Over two days, we filmed with four expert voices—but here’s the twist: we maximized a single location to create multiple unique looks. From smart staging to subtle lighting changes, we made one space feel like many.
Day 1 was all about load-in and setting the stage for our first interview. To stay on budget, we flew in two of the four experts, keeping logistics tight without sacrificing quality. The result? A streamlined, high-impact shoot that gave us a ton of dynamic content.
When you’re filming multiple interviews in one location, what’s your go-to trick to keep each setup fresh? Drop your thoughts below! ⬇️

🎬 Ep. 3: Back Home in Denver – 20 Interviews in 10 Hours.
We’re back in Denver, and this shoot was a BIG one. Imagine filming real-life interviews with 20 boomers, multiple backdrops, and a full load-in and load-out—all within 10 hours! It was a fast-paced, high-energy day, and our local crew absolutely crushed it.
From fine-tuning lighting setups to keeping the schedule tight, this was a masterclass in efficiency. But here’s the question—when you’re filming that many interviews in a single day, what’s the biggest challenge? Is it lighting? Pacing? Keeping the energy up? Drop your thoughts below! ⬇️
