If you’ve ever been to one of my paint and sip classes or an event or an event where I’m doing live guest portraits, there’s a good chance you’ve met my mom!
If you haven’t met her, it’s probably because she was watching my son so that I could be there.
Truly, nothing that I’ve done would be remotely possible without her and her support.
From being completely supportive when I decided to take on a second major to double in Studio Art to always being able to count on her to watch her grandson no matter when or where I book a job.

Because it’s so cool to watch yourself, a friend or a family member be captured in a painting!
When someone books me as their live wedding painter, it’s usually because they WANT their painting to look like them!
I’ve tired to be a loose, impressionist painter…. And come to terms with the fact that is just not me.
But then something happened….
Over and over again on consult calls, couples told me they wanted me BECAUSE I’m realistic and emphasize detail.
I don’t need to be everyone’s cup of tea (there are plenty of artists and styles for everyone!)
But I sure am grateful to the couples whom I’m their shot of whisky! 🥃

I’m still chipping away at touch ups to a ton of previous weddings and working away at commissions!

With the rise of AI art, I find myself grateful I made the shift to experiential art.
While this shift came from my love of connecting with people and entertaining, it’s been a serendipitous opportunity to grow a thriving business that I LOVE
The more AI slop takes over online art storefronts, the more people value the experience of watching an REAL HUMAN artist create
And I can sleep easy knowing that AI can’t replace genuine human connection

Between my son’s 3rd birthday, a bout of Hand, Foot, Mouth, multiple birthday parties & baby showers every weekend culminating with foster puppies & spring break - March was a blur!
I had some incredible weddings, several pieces went home and I hosted two nearly sold out workshops!
I continue to be so grateful for this career and the opportunities. I’m genuinely in awe of how many people are interested in my work. It’s truly one of the best feelings in the world!
I’ll be hard at work this month between live painting events, a paint your pet workshop, and working diligently to get more paintings home! (And another surprise I have brewing!!)
