Last fall I was slammed with a bunch of photo sessions so I didn’t have time to post. Since the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship game is a few days away, here’s a session from last October that I really enjoyed photographing. From the start, Samaya’s Mom gave me full creative freedom, which always makes the shoot even more fun. I took some inspiration from the NBA 2K23 cover style and wanted to create a portrait that felt bold and dynamic. Overall, it was just an easy, enjoyable session. Always grateful for moments like this where I get to create, connect, and have a good time doing it. Enjoy the photos! This past Saturday I had a blast covering the wedding anniversary of Christian and Samantha. A guest pointed to the @boothytime photobooth and said that was my competitor! 🤣😂🤭 sorry for the monopoly!

This past Saturday I had the honor of documenting Gaby and Caleb's wedding. 10 years ago, I documented Gaby's quinceañera, then her college graduation and now her wedding. So you can see how meaningful this wedding was to me. As a girl dad, it hit hard when Thomas, Gaby's Dad, was giving his speech. Anyways, big congrats to these newlyweds, Los Lewskis!!

Last Saturday I had a triple-duty gig - event photography, photobooth (@boothytime ), and receiving a Volunteer of the Year award from one of my favorite local nonprofits @afssaustin . Congrats to AFSSA for raising $300k for the night! AFSSA is a support system for victims of sexual assault, trafficking and domestic violence, and my first pro-bono gig with them started in 2011. I've been involved with a few local nonprofits over the year and AFSSA has always been my favorite with their mission and their lovely and dedicated staff. To those countless volunteers who have not yet been recognized, I share this with you. To those who have not had the time to volunteer, I encourage you to do so with your time or your momey. During this unprecedented time where fundings are being slashed left and right, let's lend a hand to those on the frontline. That night was a blur since I was working, but I will forever cherish the moment when my 8 year old daughter showed me the program with our picture in it and said she was proud of me!

It’s been a while since my last blog post, so here’s a recent connection/engagement session that I’ve really enjoyed photographing as well as hanging out with the couple. I met up with Robina and Abhay at their home then headed to the UT Austin campus, and later on we ended the evening at the bookstore where they first met. It was a day full of laughter, love, and the kind of moments that make this job so rewarding. A few weeks ago, I got an opportunity to take corporate headshots for the Activision Blizzard employees here in Austin. If you don't know Activision Blizzard, they're the maker of well known games such as Call of Duty, World of Warcraft/Diablo, etc. This was my first time taking on a grand-scale project, from planning, executing and delivering. What you're seeing are all of my equipment (all fitting in my Costco wagon!), even the portable desk (which I'm proud to say I got one helluva deal on FB Marketplace). Each employee was allocated a few minutes for the headshots and they got to pick out 1-2 favorites for post-processing right on the spot. The products were delivered within 5 days, which on this scale was never done before! The key was, get it right in camera to minimize post-processing time.
