The “Don’t Give Up On Me” video, brain child of @fuzzy_cheeks , was made with a projector, a VCR, and an old Panasonic CRT TV. Joe Lee said of the process, “I filmed it, played it back, filmed it again, and let the imperfections do their thing. It felt right to let the analog world breathe some life into the digital one.”
The band and I loved the gritty final film and are so happy to share it with everyone.

With JRAD we are always throwing each other curveballs and swinging for the fences, with the Dead’s catalog as our playground. So when the opportunity to play with Phil came around, there was one obvious collective answer: GAME ON
Man, I gotta be honest with yas. It fucks me upppp coming home after being on the road for so long. The transition from a go-go-go schedule to not having shit to do is certainly interesting to navigate.
Which reality is reality? I realize the juxtaposition that finds itself in so much of the art I’ve made over the years prob stems from living a life where the pendulum swings so wide, and no real handbook to figure out how to weather the extremes. I could go on and on but I’ll spares you loll

Happy 80th Birthday Bill The Drummer!
Bill Kreutzmann, The lone surviving original member of the Grateful Dead, was born in Palo Alto, California on this date in 1946.
Kreutzmann assembled his Billy The Kids ensemble with Billy Strings and James Casey (RIP) in Hawaii for a late celebration of his 75th birthday. The pandemic-era “Grateful Mahalo” concerts were broadcast from Kauai.
This “Grateful Mahalo” version of “Sitting In Limbo” shows off why Kreutzmann is such a great drummer. He is able to provide a delicate touch to the Jimmy Cliff cover that helps accentuate Strings’ vocals in a way he did so many times for Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir.
