Here is a compliment for our Ward B11 team:
“I would like a message to be passed on to the B11 staff. During my stay at Rotherham, they made it so much easier for me.
“They work so hard to ensure all patient needs are always met. Even during busy moments of the day, I was always made to feel listened to and cared for.
“They embody the utter most professionalism and show nothing but kindness for their patients.”

ODP's Ismail and Phumelele tell us more about their roles and why they enjoy what they do. #ODPDay
Today we're celebrating our operating department practitioners on National Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) Day!
ODPs play an important role in the care we deliver to our patients throughout their surgical journey. They work alongside surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre teams to ensure patients receive safe, compassionate and high-quality care before, during and after operations.
On ODP Day, we wanted to take a chance to celebrate these hidden healthcare heroes for their part in caring for our patients. Thank you to our ODPs for all that you do!
Keep an eye out for more from our ODPs later today.

Last week we recognised Dying Matters Week by encouraging open conversations about death, dying and grief. While these can be difficult topics, talking about them can help people feel heard, supported and better prepared for what matters most.
Thank you to our colleagues who helped spread awareness of these important and often sensitive subjects through week.

Here is a compliment for our colleagues on Wharncliffe Ward team:
“I have been to the Wharncliffe ward to be induced, and I have to say, they have made my experience that extra bit special.
“From the moment of induction, I was listened to, respected and was given a say in every aspect of my care.
“Thank you to the midwives for making my experience that little less lonely and overwhelming. You really don’t know how much of an impact you have on people, for the rest of their lives.”

Here is a compliment for our Community Ready Unit team:
“I cannot begin to express the depth of gratitude for the extraordinary care, kindness, and compassion you showed my mum during her time in your department.
“The warmth and genuine empathy from every member of your team was truly remarkable. It meant more to us than words can fully capture.
“Your team is nothing short of amazing. A true credit to the trust. I sincerely believe that without your dedication and support, we would not have been able to bring mum home so quickly. For that I am profoundly thankful.”
