I’d also like to thank our audience for showing up, we had a full room!!!! And I’d like to thank the venue for allowing me to put on some comedy. Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better 1st night at a new venue. Promoting is def trials and errors, and I have learnt a lot in a short period of time. Right now I’m a one man band, and I’m def not complaining, from venue,admin,booking,tickets,mcing,equipment, I do the lot…hopefully it gets easier with practice and time…Constantly thinking, are all the acts showing up, did I get the line up right, is the audience having a bloody good time, don’t do too much in between sets,my maybe you should bring try bring back the atmosphere… Well tonight has been exhausting but I can def say the journey was worth it. The next challenge is to make the next night better and to keep getting better and I wouldn’t have been able to do this without all the advice of my friends who still perform every single night, so this is a thank you to you guys, your words and encouragement have kept me going. Wanted to post this tomorrow but I’m a lazy guy and I know I def wouldn’t have done it. Onwards and Upwards or something like that ❤️

It’s mad being a promoter, not that I consider myself to be one…learnt things the hard way… if you’re starting off, probably best not to have your night on a Saturday evening ( too much competition, even if your venue is in the sticks)…location,location,location… not for a holiday, but somewhere very much accessible by all transport means…Venue, is there a genuine interest to out in the night or are they looking to have something on until they are able to do what really interest them( this one is really, hard to tell imo, ) anyway mistakes will be made along the way…lick your wounds and keep it pushing…Can’t wait for Thursday!!! #standup #comedy #winchester #williamwalker
