Trees are essential to the health of Utah’s Great Salt Lake. Trees in the mountains help filter rainwater and prevent erosion as snowmelt and rainfall travels through our mountains and into the rivers and creeks that bring water to the Great Salt Lake. Let’s do our part to protect the Great Salt Lake by sustaining a healthy forest and a thriving watershed ecosystem 🌲🏔️🏞️
Yay for more trees!! 🌳 We’re joining forces with @treeutah , this time in our Utah Valley Chapter, to help a park get much needed shade. Here’s what you need to know:
• Sign the waiver before you arrive, 🔗 in bio, or comment “PARK”
• Wear long pants, close toed shoes and sun protection ☀️
• We will provide tools and safety instructions!
FYI, snacks will be provided! So grab a friend and come on over for a fun day of stewarding and ministering
Come plant with us Saturday, May 16th, 9am - noon at the beautiful Roots Disc Golf Course park! We’re excited to add more trees to a pleasant urban space on the west side of SLC!
Address is 1250 N Redwood Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84116.
When you arrive, look for the green TreeUtah tent and check in! Once everyone’s there, we’ll do a welcome, planting demonstration with arborists, and safety talk. Then we’ll break into groups and get planting! We will bring all the tools, trees, soil amendments, safety equipment, and trained staff to guide you.
We ask that you wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, sun protection, and clothing you don’t mind getting dirty. Please bring your own refillable water bottle. TreeUtah will make sure there are plenty of snacks for you at the table and fizzy beverages on hand in the cooler. We will wrap up by or before noon.

Happy Earth Day!
Our Life Time team members and members had such an incredible experience giving back to our community planting trees and making a lasting impact for future generations. We also donated $2500 to Tree Utah from @lifetime.foundation to help support their efforts.
Grateful for the opportunity to partner with Tree Utah at Tracy Aviary Nature Center Pia Okwai and be part of something bigger than ourselves.
Let’s continue to show up for our planet every day!

SOUT U + TreeUtah tonight at the Day-Riverside Library EcoGarden!
Athletes and Unified Partners learned about the plants around us, explored why trees are such an important part of our ecosystem, tasted fresh herbs… and even planted new grapevines for the pergola! 🍇🌿
A night of learning, growing, and getting our hands in the dirt—in the best way. 🌱🌳
