JOIN US in partnership with @treesatlanta for 🌳 Tree Tour: The Living Legacy of Freedom Park - Trees, Trails and Civic Roots 🌳 🗓️ Friday, July 24th ⏰ 9am-10:30am 📍 The Freedom Park Conservancy 🔗 Link in bio for more info & registration 👟 Stroll through Freedom Park, one of Atlanta’s largest parks, and the official art park of the City of Atlanta. The Carter Presidential Center sits at the center of the park, and we’ll explore how the park connects to many local amenities, including the Atlanta Beltline and Arboretum. A long time ago in a city far, far away... someone planted a tree. That tree needs YOU. This spring and summer, help our newly planted street trees out by giving them a good soak. Check the berm (the area around the tree's trunk). If it's dry 2 inches below the surface, it's time for some water. Two buckets are all it takes to give our trees some relief! May the Urban Forest be with you.

Did you know the Atlanta Beltline is a Level II Certified Arboretum? 🌳 That means every tree, shrub, and wildflower you pass on your walk was intentionally planted and is a part of the worlds longest linear arboretum! So next time you need to stretch your legs, take advantage of all the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum has to offer!

On April 11, we gathered in the Flowering Forest, a living tree tribute to the late Congressman John Lewis, to care for and carry forward a legacy rooted in the community he spent his life building. 1.5 miles. 1,500+ flowering trees. 90+ native species. And a community that continues to show up, year after year. This tribute winds through Freedom Park along the John Lewis Freedom Parkway, bursting with dogwood, magnolia, fringe tree, azalea, and so much more. This day also marked the ceremonial planting of a new magnolia cultivar, Magnolia grandiflora 'Good Trouble,' and a celebration of giving, with flowering trees going back to the community that helped grow this forest. Thank you to everyone who has helped make the Flowering Forest the beautiful, living tribute it is. 🌸 @civilandhumanrights @freedompark_atl @cityofatlantaga @arbordayfoundation @internationalpaper @smurfitwestrockcompany @truist @ups

TODAY IS THE DAY! The Atlanta City Nature Challenge is officially ON. From now through April 27, grab your phone and head outside to photograph the plants, animals, and fungi that call our city home. Every observation counts, and you don’t need to be an expert to participate! 📲 Download the free iNaturalist app and start documenting Atlanta’s wildlife. In 2025, the Greater Atlanta Area identified over 1,800 species, and we need your help to beat that this year! The 2026 Atlanta City Nature Challenge is led locally by @fernbankmuseum with support from local organizations. #CityNatureChallenge2026

Getting our hands dirty for a good cause 🌳   Our @laz_parking Atlanta team spent Earth Week out on the BeltLine, partnering with @treesatlanta to help restore the Arboretum, pulling invasive plants, mulching, and making space for native greenery to thrive.   A little teamwork, a lot of impact. #BetterTogether   #ArborDay #EarthWeek #TheLAZWay
