All but perhaps the small percentage of people who are profiting off of hyper partisanship and trying to push us into tribes realize that something is broken with our current political system. It's been this way for quite some time and if the rage machine (cable news, social media, the whole ecosystem) had stayed as what it once was, simply an evening time venting receptacle, perhaps it would have been okay. However, the division has crept into every facet of life. It spills into conversations where we try to vet someone based on the media they consume, we don't show up at things because we don't want to be around people with differing opinions, and worst of all we've seen an uptick in political violence over the last few years that is alarming and makes us all wonder what kind of country the next generation will inherit. Yesterday we got to spend time interviewing the leadership and stakeholders of the & Campaign. This group is building real spaces where people from different backgrounds sit across from each other, work through disagreement, and come out actually caring about one another. They're serving their community together through tutoring and helping kids learn to read, and as a faith-based organization they're equipping pastors with how to approach fraught topics from the pulpit. Sitting in that room yesterday, listening to people with genuinely different perspectives talk about their neighbors instead of their enemies, it reminded me that the antidote to all of this isn't a better argument. It's proximity. Relationships > Being Right Check out the & Campaign. They are doing amazing work. andcampaign.org

One of the things we love most about this work: walking into almost any room and turn it into a professional interview set. This is the same space before and after our lighting setup. Same room. Completely different feel. When someone watches this interview, they're not thinking about where it was filmed. They're thinking about the story being told. That's exactly the point.

Really honored to create some content for Jessica Hubley and the team at Story.law. They're doing something that matters. They're making real legal counsel accessible to people who've been told it's out of reach.

Stock music couldn’t carry the weight of the stories in a recent project — so we brought in @kathrynreneekoch . She came to the studio to record original violin parts, but she ended up becoming part of the story itself. The project’s theme is about rewriting — and Kathryn literally rewrote the music you hear in the first part of the video. Sometimes the process mirrors the message. Thanks Kathryn for your amazing work and @toddmartinlyons for capturing and producing the audio capture.

@cityofrefugeatl just opened the brand new Transformation Center! They are providing 26 units of affordable housing, a mental health clinic, a fresh market, banking services and more to the west side of in-town Atlanta, an area that desperately needs these services. We got to be there to capture audio and video on the day the Transformation Center opened and made this recap of the day!

It was great getting to capture some content @buckheadrotary with Governor and First Lady Kemp. It was particularly nice to hear about the close working relationship between the governor and Atlanta Mayor, Andre Dickens. They’ve gotten a lot done together despite being from opposite sides of the aisle, politically. We’ll share some clips from the talk soon.
