it’s hard to put into words what this project means, not only for myself, but for our journey as yuth. we built this thing to always be bigger than ourselves and to be able to bring this to life alongside nike was surreal.
nike gave us the keys to create what we wanted and allowed us to do it our way. and this is what we chose to build.
this was months of work with my real life brother @yokenfo - many late nights, long calls, endless ideas. this thing we’ve built was always bigger than us. it was always going to be this way, from inception of the brand, we knew what we wanted it to be. we learnt a lot along the way, but the biggest lesson was that the path we’re taking is the right one.
thank you to everyone who believes in us. everyone who came through to yuth club. we do it for you. thank you to everyone who worked on this with us, those who helped and played any part in making it what it was, you know who you are.
this is just the beginning. a proof of concept. not a one off moment.
i say all this to say, you can do it too. i’m just a kid from st clair, who never gave up on bringing my ideas to life.
we all reach a point in life where we’re faced with the same choice: do we keep living on autopilot, doing what’s easy, following the scripts laid out for us or do we wake up and make things happen for ourselves and take control of our own story.
no one is gonna hand you the life you want. you have to take it.
